Workplace Refresh – Treveth Holdings

Designed to support a more flexible and collaborative way of working, this workplace refresh transformed an underused office into a vibrant environment that reflects Treveth's values and culture.

The design combines open collaboration areas, informal meeting spaces, focused work settings, and integrated technology to support a variety of working styles throughout the day. Acoustic meeting booths provide privacy for calls and small team discussions, while open touchdown spaces encourage spontaneous interaction and knowledge sharing.

A carefully selected palette of calming blues, soft greens, natural timber finishes, and biophilic elements creates a welcoming atmosphere that promotes wellbeing, concentration, and comfort. Branding and graphics are subtly integrated throughout the space, reinforcing organisational identity and strengthening the connection between people and place.

By balancing functionality, acoustics, flexibility, and visual appeal, the refreshed workplace helps employees feel more engaged, supported, and productive while creating an environment that can adapt to the changing needs of a growing organisation.

Key features:

* Flexible work settings for individual and collaborative working
* Acoustically treated meeting booths and focus spaces
* Integrated technology for hybrid meetings and communication
* Biophilic design elements to support wellbeing
* Strong visual connection to organisational identity and values
* Durable, high-quality furniture selected for long-term performance
* A welcoming environment designed to enhance employee experience and productivity

Result:

A modern, people-centred workplace that supports collaboration, wellbeing, and organisational culture while providing the flexibility needed for contemporary ways of working.

Workplace design and office refresh

The challenge

As Treveth Holdings continued its rapid growth across Cornwall, the organisation required a new headquarters that could support an expanding team while reflecting its ambitions, values and commitment to the communities it serves. The move to a new office in Truro marked an important milestone in the company's development, providing an opportunity to create a workplace environment that supported collaboration, staff wellbeing and day-to-day operational effectiveness. Treveth Holdings relocated to the new office as part of its continued expansion and growth strategy.

Our approach

At Multi Story Thinking, we believe successful workplaces begin with understanding how people work rather than simply how a space looks. Working alongside Studio Khid and the wider project team, our focus was to help create an environment that would support Treveth's evolving workplace culture while providing flexibility for future growth.

The project considered:

  • How teams interact and collaborate.

  • The balance between focused and shared work settings.

  • Furniture solutions that support comfort and productivity.

  • Creating a professional environment for both staff and visitors.

  • Supporting a positive employee experience through thoughtful workplace design.

Furniture selection and specification

Furniture plays a significant role in workplace performance.

Our expertise in furniture specification helped ensure that furniture choices supported the practical needs of the organisation while contributing to the overall quality and identity of the workspace.

Key considerations included:

  • Ergonomic support for everyday working.

  • Durability and long-term value.

  • Flexibility to support different working styles.

  • Consistency of aesthetic and brand presentation.

  • Creating a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

By carefully considering both operational requirements and user experience, the furniture strategy became an integral part of the overall workplace solution rather than simply a procurement exercise.

The outcome

The completed workplace provides Treveth with a professional and adaptable headquarters capable of supporting its growing team and future ambitions.

Benefits of the project include:

  • A workplace designed to support collaboration and communication.

  • Improved employee experience through a considered working environment.

  • Flexible spaces that can adapt as organisational needs evolve.

  • Furniture solutions that balance performance, comfort and long-term value.

  • A professional setting that reflects the organisation's purpose and aspirations.• A workplace environment aligned with a growing and ambitious business.

The value of workplace design

A workplace is more than a collection of desks and meeting rooms.

When organisations invest in understanding how people use space and combine this with thoughtful interior design and furniture specification, workplaces become tools that support productivity, wellbeing, culture and organisational success.

For growing organisations such as Treveth, the workplace becomes an important part of attracting talent, supporting collaboration and creating an environment where people can do their best work.
